Clapton, Page, Hendrix ... Phillip Sayce. The young guitarist enlivens the somewhat outdated blues rock. Phillip Sayce from Canada is in a class of his own with his hearty blues rock and on Saturday, April 8th, he showed us his impressive talent both on the guitar and as a singer at the Wood Stock Guitares in Ensisheim. In a brilliant way he adds earthy blues with rock and a pinch of psychedelic. His gigs take the older audience back to the good old Woodstock days and his carefree manner paired with the voice reminiscent of Lenny Kravitz convinces even the younger generation.

Born in Wales and raised in Toronto, songwriter, singer and guitarist Philip Sayce is what is commonly described as a "child prodigy". Through his father, who was a self-confessed Eric Clapton fan, he got to know the love of music. Philip also became more and more interested in the other great guitar virtuosos such as Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. As a young teenager, Sayce was already playing in various clubs in Toronto until, at the tender age of 17, he met Canadian Jeff Healey, who hired him as a guitarist for his upcoming tour. There he earned his first spurs in the following almost 4 years. Unkle Kracker and Melissa Etheridge were further stations in his musical career.

When Philip Sayce, who now lives in Los Angeles, takes the stage with his guitar, he is reminiscent of a pop star from a picture book: young, good-looking and musical. But to reduce it to just that would be a rather big mistake. Because Philip Sayce stands for much more. He sings like Lenny Kravitz and plays guitar like Jimi Hendrix. On Saturday, April 8th, Philip invited to the concert and the people flocked, not exactly in droves, but at least in the small Wood Stock Guitares in Ensisheim and surprisingly there was a relatively large number of young people. That is to say, a good quarter of the workforce was made up of girls and boys who were obviously under 30. In this respect, the Sayce Trio played for two generations, as the remaining blues-rock lovers were those who were somewhere between 45 and 60.

From the first few seconds, the raw and powerful sound literally pushes you to the wall. The trio seemed very well coordinated, the sound in the hall was appropriately loud and fortunately quite transparent, so that you could experience a great concert. Sayce, who was already sweating after the second piece, had the audience under control relatively quickly, animated them to clap and sing along in a relaxed and easy way, impressed with extremely fast solos on his worn Gallagher Strat and left no doubt that to marvel at one of the absolutely better singers in the blues-rock genre with him. And with what an irresistible audacity the "youngster" lets his guitar sound and pulls the audience's part with his guitar is simply breathtaking. Groovy funk rock that Lenny Kravitz has been announcing for 15 years, but will probably never deliver again.

Nobody stays calm here and if you don't get carried away by this music, you must be deaf. What a power, what a passion, what great songs! The ambitious, powerful power blues rock that Philip Sayce serves up that evening has to arouse admiration from every music lover. The raw energy that is released here is immediately transferred to the audience. His qualities as a songwriter, singer and guitarist and especially his irrepressible passion make every single song a pleasure. The musicians involved are in no way inferior to the playful genius of their leader. Sayce ensnares his audience with passionate, energetic and fiery play, gives the crowd one or the other sympathetic buddy speech, smiles at the girls in the audience with his brown eyes and beguiles the boys and men with his wild game and his crazy little tricks on the fretboard . Anyone who, like me, should have seen a Philip Sayce concert for the first time at Wood Stock Guitares on Saturday evening will most likely write one thing: If this Sayce goes on tour again, I shouldn't miss it! Sayce blows the fine dust out of your ears!

"Dravens Tales from the Crypt" has been enchanting for over 15 years with a tasteless mixture of humor, serious journalism - for current events and unbalanced reporting in the press politics - and zombies, garnished with lots of art, entertainment and punk rock. Draven has turned his hobby into a popular brand that cannot be classified.

My blog was never designed to spread news, let alone get political, but with current affairs I just can't help but capture information here that is otherwise censored on all other channels. I am aware that the design page may not seem "serious" to many in this regard, but I will not change this to please the "mainstream". Anyone who is open to non-state-compliant information sees the content and not the packaging. I've tried enough to provide people with information over the last 2 years, but quickly noticed that it never matters how it's "packaged", but what the other person's attitude towards it is. I don't want to put honey on anyone's mouth to meet expectations in any way, so I'll keep this design because hopefully at some point I'll be able to stop making these political statements, because it's not my goal to go on like this forever ;) I leave it up to everyone how they deal with it. It's hard for me to describe what I'm actually doing here, DravensTales has become a culture blog, music blog, shock blog, tech blog, horror blog, fun blog, a blog about found items on the internet, internet bizarre, trash blog, art blog, water heater, zeitgeist blog over the years , Scrap blog and grab bag blog called. Everything that is right ... - and yet not. The main focus of the blog is contemporary art, in the broadest sense of the word.
