Unfortunately, copyrights do not allow for a faithful adaptation of Old Man Logan. Never mind, thinks 20th Century Fox and adapts Mark Millar's iconic story about an aged and weakened Wolverine who stumbles through the post-apocalypse and fights against an overwhelming majority of villains from the Marvel universe, nevertheless loosely for Hugh Jackman's last film as Weapon X adapted. And although X-Men as a comic always brought a certain degree of brutality, 20th Century Fox decided against an implementation for an adult audience and focused on teenagers and the young at heart. For the past 15 years, fans have hoped in vain for a film adaptation of their Wolverine. But that's exactly what they should get in spring 2017. The comic book adaptation of Deadpool, also set in the X-Men universe, caused a rethink in the Fox house, which, despite an R rating, brought it to over 700 million dollars worldwide. No X-Men movie, whether it be actors like Jennifer Lawrence or Patrick Stewart and characters like Mystique or Magneto, has ever achieved such a remarkable result. With this success, the film proved that a higher age rating and the absence of young viewers do not necessarily mean less income. That's why Fox turned a blind eye to Logan, the last film in the Wolverine series, and gave director James Mangold a free hand.
