Today the singer, guitarist and main songwriter of the band Megadeth, David Scott "Dave" Mustaine turns 50 years old. His parents divorced when he was a child. He grew up in various suburbs in Southern California. He left Panic in 1981 to play in Metallica alongside Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield and bassist Ron McGovney. In 1983 he was kicked out of the band due to alcohol problems and personal differences with other band members and replaced by Kirk Hammett of the group Exodus. At this time, Mustaine developed a major drug problem that repeatedly overshadowed his career.
Dave Mustaine is generally considered to be a difficult personality with strong narcissistic traits. He has been married since 1990 and has two children. According to his own statement, he found personal answers to the question of the meaning of life in the Christian faith. In 2004 he became a born again Christian. Since professing Christianity, Mustaine has repeatedly attempted to prevent occult and satanic bands such as Dissection and Rotting Christ from performing, and has distanced himself from The Conjuring, a song from his album Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? no longer wants to play content live - the use of black magic ruined his life.
